(source and inspiration - NOW! FOCUS - Sikkim Matters)

About 50% of the Sikkimese population is in the most productive age-group, (2, 76, 988 of the total population of 5,40,851) of the age group of 10-34 years. That was 6 years ago in 2001!

In the age of mobile phones, sms, internet, blogs, satellite televison and all the global gyan at a click away, the young people do not seem to be easily swayed by the usual rhetoric of Article 371 F, caste and communal jingoism .

Education, employment, sustanibility and protection and hope for the future is what they need and not hypocritical mediocrity and dangerous intepretations of various things with little knowledge .

Its a pity....................................... that most of the young and majority supporters of Affected Citizens of Teesta have to remind the elders and neighbours that the land of our ancestors should be protected and passed down to future generations......................................................

We gonna ask questions…..
That scare me.
We gonna break the bond of silence…
Laugh at the truth in my reflection
I see the meaning of my defiance.

Because..there are words that must be said
There are words that must be heard
And they’re not as really quite absurd.
Theres a footstep in the clouds,
There is walking drops of rain
Theres a meaning to the world I say

I need a voice now
You be my voice now
I need a voice now
You be my voice now.
Give me that choice now,
You be my choice now.

I need a voice now
You be my voice now
I need a voice now
You be my voice now.
Give me that choice now,
You be my choice now.
